Football Markets — Beyond Just 1X2
Many new players assume football betting only involves three outcomes — win, draw or lose. In reality, the new8 sports platform offers over 100 market types for every major football match. These include Over/Under total goals, Asian handicap, correct score, first and last goalscorer, total corners, total yellow cards and much more.
This variety of markets isn't purely for entertainment. It gives players who truly understand the game a chance to find better value than betting on the standard 1X2 market where odds are already squeezed by the market. For example, a player who closely tracks team statistics may find the total corners or second-line handicap market offers far better value than the main market.
Esports — The Future of Sports Betting in Malaysia
The esports betting segment at new8 is growing at an extraordinary pace, which comes as no surprise given that Malaysia is among the most active gaming communities in Southeast Asia. The new8 platform supports betting on over 15 major esports titles including DOTA 2, Counter-Strike 2, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Valorant and League of Legends.
What sets new8 apart from other platforms in the esports segment is the depth of markets on offer. You can bet not only on the match winner, but also on the number of rounds played, which team will secure the first dragon in DOTA 2, or which player will rack up the most kills. This level of esports coverage is typically found only on dedicated esports platforms.
Badminton — Malaysia's Pride Sport at new8
As a country that has produced world-class badminton legends, it is only natural that badminton receives special treatment on the new8 sports platform. new8's badminton coverage spans all BWF World Tour events from Super 100 to Super 1000, the Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup and Grand Prix tournaments.
For matches featuring Malaysian representatives, new8 provides deeper coverage with additional markets such as total points per set, which set will be played with the largest point difference, and whether the match will end in two or three sets. This gives Malaysian badminton fans a new way to enjoy their favourite sport with greater depth of engagement.
Responsible Sports Betting
New8 believes that healthy sports betting is built on knowledge, self-control, and well-considered limits. The new8 platform provides a full suite of self-management tools — including daily betting limits, weekly loss limits, mandatory cool-off periods, and the option to self-exclude for a set period.
All these features are accessible directly from your account settings menu on new8, with no need to contact customer support. new8 also provides access to dedicated help resources for those who feel betting has begun to negatively impact their lives. Player safety and wellbeing are part of the new8 platform's DNA — not just a slogan.
